Lula Cooper is making the dressing for the Pear and Pomegranate salad. She comes to Church Health Center Wellness cooking classes every single day and absolutely loves them. Her favorite part of the class is to “get good directions” on how to cook food. She can take these directions home with her and recreate the recipes she loves.

Mildred Noel is a regular at Church Health Center Wellness cooking classes. She first decided to come to the classes because she was intrigued by a flyer billing nutrition classes. The rest is history. The cooking classes have helped her change her mind about food by showing her that there are “healthy recipes that taste good too”. Now that her children are grown up and moved out, she loves cooking for herself and being in control in the kitchen.
